need some help
So started the car this morning just like normal drove around. stopped by my parents house and once I was leaving tried starting the car and it started to sputter and just cut off. Tried it again same thing. It cranks sputters then dies. I have cel and ecp I think? I did just get it recently.
2002 Audi a4 with 125k mi on it. Will be calling the dealer as I haven't had it a week, but thought I'd ask you guys first. Did a search and from what I read looks like it may be fuel pump maf or coil packs can someone help narrow it down
Thanks

clogged cats will do that. exhaust gas can't get out really hurts a turbo engine...
Did you just get the vehicle or just get the CEL?
I would check your spark plugs for proper ignition / burn color. clogged cat is usually due to unburned fuel due to excessive cranking to start it or a fouled plug dumping fuel that doesn't burn. How has your gas mileage been lately?
I had an old Blazer that had a timing issue. If it sat too long it would forget the timing advance value and take forever to start. Eventually I plugged the cat and it bogged down something fierce. I cut open the cat with a grinder, knocked the guts out of it and welded the hole closed. Ran like a champ until I could replace the cat. I don't suggest you cutting open your cat as the Audi is a little more picky about such things than my old Blazer.
