need some help im new to the audi world
hi i just sold my ss camaro and got a 2004 1.8t a4 im trying to do some upgrades so far i got neuspeed cat back, stage 2 chip, pully kit, eng and trany mounts and coilover kit. I just bught a k04 turbo that hasnt been installed and i was wondering if needed bigger injectors and would my neuspeed stage 2 would sopurt the new turbo? and if not what size of injectors and what chip do i need.
Your ECU software needs to match the turbo. If, by "stage 2", that means it is K04 software, then you're good. You absolutely need to verify that. If you run a K04 on K03 software, you will have problems. Every manufacturer has different meanings for their "stages". In most if not all cases, stage 2 would mean you already have bigger injectors. Usually, stage 1 is just chip, stage 1+ adds bigger injectors, and from there, the different stages start changing turbos. What tuning company is the chip from? EDIT: NM- you say Neuspeed. You may want to re-think that. I'm not sure neuspeed even has a K04 file, and their chips are not the greatest in the world. Nice exhausts- poor ECU software.
The other thing you need to watch for is that aftermarket crank pulleys are not harmonically balanced. As such, there is a risk of the crank vibrating itself to destruction. I haven't heard of a case on our cars yet, but not many people, if any at all (even ones with huge 400-500awhp setups) run those things- largely due to the fact that they aren't balanced and you'll get no noticable gains out of it. Your hp can fluctuate more on a dyno from one run to the next more than any gains from a pulley will show you. In other cars I've had, I have heard of the crankshafts just gettign destroyed. Just be careful. Mods that everyone thinks of for a honda or something aren't what you want to do to this car.
I'll warn you now, the K04 will get old fast. It'll be cool at first, but then when some mini-van still passes you, you'll be pissed, lol. You'll want more, and wish you wouldn't have wasted the $$ on the K04 in the first place.
On my list of "what would I have done differently" if I did my car all over again- Skip the K04 and go right to the big turbo. It's not even close.
What engine/tranny mounts did you get? You should get a snub mount to match up with the engine mounts. Or else you'll get weird vibrations because the snub is still stock soft but the engine mounts are more stiff. Unless you got OE motor mounts... which you shouldn't. They are fluid-filled and tend to fail on the passenger side due to the turbo sitting right over it.

If you're looking for an intake, i'm selling mine over on Audizine. Follow the link in my signature to get a Carbonio for cheap. Sorry for threadjacking, welcome to the audi forums! You will probably find that you will like Audizine more then audiforums, things tend to move a bit faster over there
I have always been under the impression that Neuspeed only had one chip setup. What is their 'stage 2' chip?
As far as the turbo goes, I agree with bustanut. I've been in some k04 setups and in my opinion, isn't worth the $$. That's why I'm waiting to get a BT setup.
