Default new to audi need some help...

let me just start by saying i've had this car all summer and couldnt be happier with it. got an 03 1.8t q w 90 k miles. its a little slow compared to my skyline i had in japan but i figured it would be considering it has almost half the horsepower. i have an issue that has happened a couple times since i bought it but didnt think anything about it until it happend twice in the same week. i turn the car over and the rpm goes from 1k to stall in the matter of a second or two. i can simply retry and rev the engine for a second and it starts and idles fine. wondering if you guys had any suggestions to start checking... the car drives fine and havent had any problems other then a blinker gremlin that wants to say is dead until i either push on the headlight or reconnect the wires. recently bought new bulbs and a can of silver engine enamel for the clear corner headlight mod none the less. and i had a tire blow out on my way back from atlantic city (2 hour drive each way) followed by a low oil light almost simultaneously. the oil light was a little strange to me but ill keep an eye on the level for a while to make sure i dont have a slow leak.

oh and my front end makes the squeak noise which is apparently a common problem with the bushings. is there any kits that are really good? or should i just wd40 it and forget about it? it seems to handle fine in the corners but i havent really tried to dive super hard into any turns bec of this...

Hey I just wanted to say welcome to the forum and the Audi world in general! I hope that your A4 is treating you well. But, sometimes they have problems, and that's okay. I'm sorry, but I can't really help you with your other problems yet, but my wheels used to squeak when moving, and upon braking. What you said sounds similar to the problem that I had (I don't know if by "front end" you mean wheels, or something else), so I will tell you that the way that I got rid of the awful squeaks was that I bought new brake rotors and pads. They aren't too expensive (if cash is a problem), but the old brakes were just terrible on mine, and that is what produced the squeaking sound. I'm not saying that you should go out and buy a new brake kit before doing anything! You should go to a mechanic and ask them how much longer your pads will be good because I am now at 120k miles and when we got the old ones off, the edges of both the rotors and pads were literally coated in rust. Hope this helps, and good luck to you!

thanks for the welecoming and that suggestion and i will look into it. especially upgraded rotors and pads on the front i found the a8 upgrade for around 300. my squeak only comes when im driving with the windows down and hit a bump with my front left or right wheels. pretty sure its a bushing or two that is just being a haggler. just havent had the time to lift up my car and take stuff apart.
