Exclamation newbie ((auto tip reverse issue))

I just purchased a 2002 audi a4 1.8t quattro auto car and the only issue im having is when I try in reverse it kicks in and out under load. All forward gears work perfect! I've already drained my trans fluid and replenished it and added a new filter and nothing changed. Another thing that's weird is if I unplug my maf sensor then reverse works all day! anyone have a clue to what could be the problem? Anyone have any idea what solenoid in the pan is the reverse solenoid? Thinking about replacing it to see if its just not opening correctly and stuck. Could also use a diagram if anyone has one. Thank you!
