Default Newbie tire/wheel question HELP PLEASE

Yes, I'm a newbie and I did something really stupid today that I'm sick over. I bought rims, and without doing research, bought tires.

I have 19X8 rims and bought 255/35/19 tires. I have an '04 Ultra Sport. #1 Will this fit my car? #2 Will the tires fit on the rim? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thx.

What are you doing with your old wheels?

Hey, Im afraid those tires even if they did fit them on the rim, would rub a bit. It's reccomended to run a 235.

I'm going to sell them. They are the OEM 18's. Falken 235/35/18. Front tires are bald. Rear have about 30% left. Make me an offer.

19x8 will fit, 255/35/19 will fit but I wouldn't recommend it. Are you lowered? stock sport suspension

I run 19 x 8.5 but that's with 245/35/19's with 35mm offset. The recommended size for 19's is 235/35/19. Here is a good link to get an idea of how much of a difference these sizes will be.

Thanks, I'm going to first mount them and see how they look. If they look OK on the rim and they don't rub, I'll probably roll them.

what's the offset on those wheels? And you did get 5x112 right? The 255's will rub more than likely, but if you roll your fenders you might clear them, but all depending on the offset. Why the hell would you put 255 tires on an 8" wheel? That's gonna have hang and look retarted IMO

Yes, it's a 5X112, 35 offset. As far as the "Why in the hell question." I already stated in my initial post that I bought the tires w/o doing research. Obviously if I did the correct research I would have purchased the correct size tire for the rim and this post would not even exist. I know they are not the recommened size NOW, but I'm stuck with them and I'm just asking if they will work or not.
