Hello, I just got a 2002 A4 3.0 quattro 6 speed manual. My B6 is in good condition but the remote fob is in very poor condition. I opened it, it says:

temic-manila 115mhz
8z0837231b/35773345/01

I have seen some 8z0837231F on ebay... would it still work ending with an F instead of a B?

Is it possible to get the newer stye also?

and the last question, is it possible to roll up/down the windows from the keyfob? a friend of mine has the exact same car/year and he is able to do it!

There's a way to get the FOB from the B7, I don't like it though, I got my B6 FOB from Ebay, I don't remember the number, but I did have to buy the blade from the dealer, the whole ordeal was about 230 bucks.

does the 2002 has immobilizer? I used to have a 1999 Passat 1.8T (those have no immo) and I bought a used fob with matching code on ebay and it worked by just programming it using the two keys one in the door the other in the ignition and pressing the buttons in a special sequence, dont remember exactly.

Now in my 2002 Audi, besides doing all that do I also need to program that immobilizer? If so, how? using vagcom? I have read that immo thing is necessary on 2003 and up, but not sure...

The VW key will not work. When I did mine I took the ebay remote to the dealer and I ordered the blade from the dealer, they did the sync and immobilizer and the whole thing was about 240 USD.
