Default Odd air whistle LHD

2003 A4 1.8T. The steering rack was leaking bad so i brought it to my mechanic that works mainly on audi and volks. He did change the Steering rack, but when i took the car and drove off, i could hear a unusually loud whistle on the LHD, it sounds like a turbo hose leak. When you put the car on neutral and rev i hear the leak but a little less loud. It is louder when you accelerate, probably because the engine as load.

So i brought the car back in and after a afternoon i took it back and they didn't find the leak.

Now first is there a pipe or anything with enough pressure that could whistle in the way of a steering rack replacement job? I doubt but i have to ask since i didn't do the job myself. Assuming i have a leaking collar, hose or intercooler how could i find the leak?

Suck i do not have a boost gauge i could probably see the difference in pressure if it is leaking. I also feel the car as less guts at low rpm.

Thanks for the help !

Whistle, no dentist drill. and no check engine or code.

I've tried to do a test without success. I made a cap with a 0-30 psi gauge and use it to pressurize the pipe at the turbo inlet 5@10 psi. at the same time i removed the pipe to the pcv valve and a other one before and blocked those off. But i notice that after the pcv there is a other T with 2 more pipes just before the turbo outlet. So even if i raise the pressure to 10psi i can here a leak and mostlikely through oil because i hear air bubbles.

So that pressure test wasn't conclusive since i could block all connection on the rubber pipe at turbo inlet. It is coming from the Intercooler corner but i just cannot locate it.

I'm going for a drive and will try to record the sound, oddly when you are standing outside the car you cannot really hear it but sitting inside it is pretty obvious.
