Default Oh boy, here we go again!

Ok guys, 02 A4 1.8TQ 209k. Im getting random cylinder misfire codes and a P0011 Cam A Retard Setpoint Not Reached - Over Advanced.

I've searched the forum and found many posts about this but not many answers, best I got was possibly injectors.

ANYWAYS, I just recently replaced the Cam Chain Tensioner and Turbo at 205K, all went well, tuned the car to pass emissions (no cat/GIAC 1) and everything was fine. Well recently, (the last 600-800 miles) cold starts have been trouble, car would sound like it wanted to die with the idle flucuating between 600-1400 rpm, I would put about 30% throttle for a few seconds and everything will straighten out and be smooth again. Well today I get in my car to go to work and when I start the car, it bounces straight to 2000 rpm and then dies. I start it again, same thing, so I start it once more and put about 50% throttle and the car is flucuating (very noisely/solid CEL) between 2000-3000 rpm, sometimes up to 4000, and anytime I take my foot off the gas it dies, like no matter what. I did this about 6-7 times with no difference. So now car is parked at home waiting for me to get out of work to try to figure something out. Car worked perfectly last night before it was parked. I'm leanign towards injectors but I really dont know yet.

Any help would be greatly appreciated guys!!!!

OK so i figured out the issue! there is a one way valve/solenoid on the top/rear of the motor on the intake side, it basically makes sure that boost from the intake doesnt go into the brake booster. there is a plastic seat/seal that blew apart when the motor sensed a huge vac leak, tried to retard the timing, caused a backfire blowing out the solenoid/valve. ordered new parts and hooked it all up and now she runs smooth as a baby again

the ultimate culprit was the Suction Pump, OE Part# 058-133-753-D. I blew the "pump" right out of the hose assembly

Other than maintenance not really. obviously there are a few things here (clutch, brakes, tires, filters etc..) and there like vaccuum lines cracking and such, but honestly the car runs and drives as good as the day i bought it almost 80k miles and 3 years ago.

lol i just glued mine back together. IT actually lasted quite a while. I waited to replace it after it blew again. Just be sure not to get any glue on those orange diaphrams!
