Oil Sludge. Bottom end OK??
Little background story first. Basically, the oil light came on which said to check the oil level. Pulled over, checked the level, and looked normal so i kept driving. Later on i got stuck stuck in traffic when it got worse and i couldn't pull over to stop. So the engine started making some top end noise and then died. So after searching around online i discovered it might have resulted from oil sludge.
Bought another engine and while swapping some parts over to the new engine i decided to take the old one apart to see what happened. First of all the cam gear tooth is sheared and the one of the cams is seized. I took the head off and everything looks pretty normal. Very small marks in a couple pistons from the valves So i started to wonder if the bottom end is still any good. If the compression checks out fine, do you think it still has any value to sell. Any other concerns?
