Default Overheating a4 / Temp Gauge

Sometimes when I sit at a light for a while a little bit of steam will come from the motor. I am not leaking anything that I am aware of. I have replaced the water pump at 70kmi and it now has 117kmi on it. Is this a sign that its going bad again or what else could it possibly be? Also the temperature gauge is going bad and I wanted to check and see how hard this was to replace. sometimes when I am driving it will just drop and then go back to normal operating temperature. Normal operating temp is right in the middle I think and it never goes above this but Im assuming the gauge is shot. Any ideas are appreciated.

Is your coolant temperatrure sensor. Change it and see if you still have the problem.
