Default Perished pipe Audi A4 B6 2.0 ALT petrol manual Saloon

I have noticed a pipe that has a perished junction on my motor. This pipe connects to the breather pipe off the valve cover. Here is the link to the pics' slideshow.Anyone with some helpful contribution is welcome.

Default Update on the A4 B6 Breather Pipe

.
I managed to buy the new breather pipe for £41.50 from the Stealer. Unfortunately it is a Stealer only part. Part number: 06B103211H. Apparently there is an old part number but that has been replaced by the one above. I have included a link for the pictures of the pipe. It is a pain to take out and replace without uprooting the intake manifold. With tonnes of patience, I managed to do it without removing the intake manifold. This was made possible by disconnecting a wire that is connected to the generator/alternator. and removing the bracket that stiffens the dipstick guide tube. The pipe is secured by a green retaining clip. easy to remove but very fiddly to re-install. The bottom of the breather piper has copper/brass stiffening end-feed. It is a tight fit into the new pipe. I managed this by dipping the bulky end into a bucket of boiling water. the hard plastic softens a bit and then one can force the copper/brass end-feed. The rattle is now gone and less oil consumption!
