Have an Audi A4 2003 bought not too long ago.. the person who owned it before me but in after market HID Lights.. not the autolevel warning light is on.. I assume they yanked it from the car when they installed the HID.. is there anyway to kill that alarm (besides the obvious of hooking up the autolevel.. )

 

where their hids in their before the installed?

 

I don't think so.. since the transformer for the hid is just tucked behind the lights..lol

I didn't install so I'm not sure what was there originally..

 

Either the sensor is bad or they turned them on when they weren't in place.

well if u car came with stock halegons then u probably dont have autolevel headlights as only stock hid came with autolevel i think.

 

I came stock with HIDs but as far as I know they all were autolevel. I know the steer-n-see headlights on the newer ones are optional, but I think the autolevel was designed to be a safety thing.

I could be (and often am) wrong though, and as I said I came stock with HID, so I couldn't tell you for sure.

 

Weather or not it came with auto level is irrelevant 8) I have an alert on my console about it not working, it was removed/disabled by someone who put HIDs in.. I just want to know if there is a way to disable the alarm/alert 8) I hate driving around with it constantly showing my auto level is not working.. lol

And it is totally fine if you don't know... and if I could put the stock ones back I would.. but I bought it used and the guy I bought it from also bought it used and said it was like that when he got it..

hey now u dont gotta get all pissy. First of all if u car didnt come with HID lights stock then u dont have autolevel. Only stock hid lights came with autolevel and the autolevel is to adjust the headlight to the road so that you wont blind oncoming drivers. So maybe u need to make sure u know what ur talking about first before u start to say whats needed and not. We need to know facts first before we can try to help u out.

 

Was not ment to be "Pissy" just seemed like the coversation was centering around weather it came with it or not and I was trying to steer it back to the issue..8) Sorry if it came off that way..
