Hello, I was wondering if someone could take a look at this picture that I attached and explain exactly what this hose like piece does. It is located by the rear axle and towards the back passneger side tire. I just noticed it today and it looks like it is supposed to be clamped into place. It also looks like it is frayed. I am not sure if it is leaking anything or not. Can someone provide me with some insight? I really appreciate it.

 

can u trace the line back to where it goes. I know the fuel filter is located near that location. Just a little bit further up towards the front of the car.
