i too hear a slight rattling but mine seems to be from the passenger side...almost sounds like bolts being shaken in a pan...only quieted. i have a 3.0l '03 and am unsure as of right now (just bought her) if it has a turbo. which direction should i be pointed to check for issues related to yours.
to elaborate my air filter box was replaced by a a k&n filter.

Default Any resolution to this issue?

My 2012 Audi A4 recently started doing the same thing. I took it to the dealer and they were not able to find the problem. Of course I was not able to reproduce the sound when I had the tech in the car with me (damn cars). Does anyone know what this could be or why it only happens during acceleration?

Hi all
I have a 2010 A4 1.8Tfsi with 159 000km and have also started experiencing the same " tick tick tick sounds" as I accelerate. I have an automatic( multitronic) gear box and noise is more audible at an incline, at either the 2nd or 3rd gear. when I shift into Tiptronic mode its not there anymore . it is only audible in Auto. This leads me to believe it could be a gearbox issue but I could be wrong. The noise comes once the car has properly warmed up. please help

Default B6 noise

Hi.I think the noise is some like mine only hear it when the car is in emotion and when I stop it stops as well. My mechanic thought its diff bearing which is inside the gearbox and he stripped didn't find anything and I still have the noise ,I don't what it is now
