Rear diff thump when hitting the accelerator
Gday Peoples!
I have just acquired a quattro 1.8t 6 speed (100,000miles) and have a thump sound and feel at the rear (noticable) when i punch the accelerator quickly, general acceleration its fine. I jumped underneath and found there is a little bit of rotational play in the prop shaft entering the rear diff but the diff itself feels pretty tight in the crossmember as do the cv's. Is this common or is there something up with the rear diff?
