If there is a humming sound coming from rear diff, could that be an indicator that the fluid needs to be changed or that the bearings are going bad?

 

im at 70k miles and i actually just had a rear axle seal leak, so i had that fixed ($190). i also had the rear diff fluid flushed and filled at the dealer as long as it was there, and they got me for $170 just for that!

so pretty much, do your homework and do the diff fluid yourself. its really not a hard job and you can save yourself a ton of cash
