Hey guys. I have a 04 1.8t Q that I love. I have a strange issue that I can't track down. This only happens in very heavy rain and possibly when there is standing water. I get a metal on metal squeal noise that is speed dependant. Today when it happend I actually got a shudder from the rear end but when I down shifted 2 gears it cleared up. I can see two spots on my drive shaft where the muffler has rubbed but there is plenty of clearence when it's up on the lift. Any thoughts?
