Question Rear sound baffle / belly pan

So my wife decided to run over a push broom on the highway and cracked the rear belly pan/ sound baffle. Got a part # from ECS: 8H0863822C. Going to be $240 bucks!!

That piece of plastic is NOT worth that kind of money. Yes I know it's needed and I plan on replacing it. My question to you all is if any of you have one laying around since changing to an alum plate or know of a after market one?

We have a 2006 A4 Cabriolet B6.

On another note, can someone tell me why our 2006 is still a B6 model? I can find no information that supports any B6 model being made after 2005.5.

Thanks in advance!!

to answer your b6 question, im not sure why but the cabriolet got refreshed after the sedan did. so its still the b6, 2007 was the first year for the b7 cabriolets.

Thanks for the clarification. Always wondered that.

In regards to the pan; does someone have one laying around or off at the time that they could give me dims? Maybe fabricating one is possible. Ours is in pieces so I just need some overall dims and hole dims.

Thanks!

In your situation, I recommend duct tape over replacement. No one can see it, anyway.

Would be nice but when I say "pieces" I mean pieces! No tape would be strong enough to hold it in place. Decided tonight to fabricate my own. Worked out pretty good. Going to place it in tomorrow.
