My son had his bag stolen while lifeguarding at a local waterpark yesterday. One of the switchblade keys for his 2002 A4 was in the bag. Is there any inexpensive way to replace this. I have found the key for about $49 and they say they send instructions to program the remote so you do not have to go to Audi, but where do you go to get this type of key cut? Any idea what it would cost to go to the dealer for this. Also is there any way to change the programming on the remote, since the thief has our key and our address.

I think only the dealer can cut the keys for our cars because the key is chiped and they have to program it. It can cost you 200 to 400 from the dealer.
