Default Running without check valves ok?

Hey guys, so my check engine light has been on for a while and we found that I have 2 broken check valves so we took them out and were just going to temporarily replace them with straight hoses because I read that it's ok to do that.. but ended up not having the right size.. so anyways now I am missing 2 check valves and I'm not going to be able to get it fixed for another 5 days. Is it ok to drive my car with 2 missing check valves? I know it will run rough, but is it driveable? I have to get it smogged this week too which sucks. Anyways, I have a 2003 A4 1.8t .... if you have any suggestions please let me know, thanks!

well u can run it but dont run it for a long period of time like that cuz it will cause damage to ur cat which will cost to much money go to an audidealership and get the plugs and stick them in there its a easy change. they cost like 20 bukcs or something. Is that really u in the pic?

Shouldn't be a problem if you can even get it to run that way. It'll just be a big vacuum/boost leak. Those things were 40-50 each at the VW dealer.

There is a link somewhere to a company that makes check valves and sells them for like 4 bucks. I have the link bookmarked at home.

You can run w/o the check valves, but it has to be done right. Or spend the time to find the check valves cheaper somewhere else. Last option is the dealership.
