Im looking at a 2002 a4 3.0 V6 Quattro 6 speed w/167k mostly highway had timing belt and water pump done 5-6 years ago. ABS module will need repaired and there is an emissions sensor bad somewhere too. $3700. Is this worth my time and future $$$?

My frame of reference is a 2003 A4 3.0 purchased 5 years ago with 79k and now at 117k. Pretty reliable other than a clutch lockout switch failure. In your case, the ABS can be repaired by ModuleMasters for a few hundred. Not sure about sensors or if your state has emission checking. At 167k, the vehicle is at another TB service - -they have to be done every 80-90k miles. The 3.0 engine TB service is about $1200 at an indie shop. But it is a 13 year old vehicle and who knows what else is lurking. As Dirty Harry said, "do you feel lucky?".
