Default Smells like burning oil!

Hey people hows it going?
Well i have a 04 a4 1.8 and i had this problem before where when i drove the car it would start to smell like burning oil. I had just gotten the oil changed so i figured they had spilt alilttle. Well this went on for months so i took it in to the dealership. My cam adjuster seal???? was leaking. so they fixed it but now a few days later it still smells? whats wrong with my car

my three way breather is cracked and it smells like that. Look under your intake manifold for dried oil.

Yeah I have the same issue as shane and sometimes when I stop at a redlight I get a burnt oil smell. Check all the rubber pieces on the pcv system youll probably find a cracked or ripped hose.

just curious, did you recently have your timing belt changed? i remember someone else on this forum changed their own belt and installed the cam seal wrong and it caused the same problem as you. then they went back and fixed the install and problem solved.

that sounds like the 3 way breather. You can get them from ecs, or the dealer might be pretty cheap.
