Default smoke coming from hood

hey guys today i was driving and i noticed some smoke coming from my hood when i was about to park my car. i got out and opened the hood and i really couldn't tell were it was coming from. but i recently took my car to the dealer for that coil pack recall thing and they didn't replace anything they told me that my car is up to date with all the right parts but they did tell me that i have a power steering fluid leak and i was wondering can that be the cause of this smoke coming from my car. what do u you guys think?

Any fluid leaking and getting on the exhaust is going to smoke on you. Find the leak and fix it and you'll be good.

any smell? Check your coolant flange and your coolant temperature sensor, if they failed the coolant will leak on to your exhaust making the smoke. Or the common thing on 1.8t's is the cylinder head gasket, or head cover gasket. Inspect these items closely to confirm.

I agree with the above two. The flange is a real PITA to get to. I found a DIY on Audizine

no its not that i got that replaced a long time ago lol i still havent gotten it fixed yet and not its gotten worse when i turn my wheel and step on the gas it makes a sound like a motor but not like the engine motor but like a small motor that in the steering wheel i dont know how to explain the sound but thats what it sounds like. do u guys think itsw because i ran out of power steering fluid? or cuz of something else. another question is how would you know if your rack and pinion is about to go out?
