Default smoked tail lights

I have a dark blue a4 and was thinking about smoking the tail lights but got a couple questions. First has anybody done it with a dark blue car, how did it look, pics. And also what is the best way to do it? How is the VHT nightshade.

Thanks for the help

VHT nightshade seems to be the most popular. if you want to post pics of the rear of your car I can photoshop it in for you. lots of people have tinted tails on our cars, they look great but you want to get the right shade.

You can get a set of tint pre-cut for your taillights on ebay. Then if you want to remove it you can.

I agree with the vinyl tint overlay, I wouldnt spray it because its a hassle to remove the paint when the authorities request that we do, whereas the vinyl can be easily removed without damaging the OEM tail light. What color is your car? Ive tinted my tail lights completely with 35% tint and I like the way it still shows red and the white inside just looks smoked. I like the idea of having some kind of visibility for drivers behind me while I'm braking and signaling during the day time. If its just too black or dark then youre more likely to attract pigs or an accident.

I just got mine tinted professionally last friday. I'm absolutely in looove with it! I made them cut the white part out too because at first they wanted me to see it with it alll tinted and then make my decision. I don't think it looks good with the whole thing tinted....when you cut the white part out, thats when the flavor comes in!

They had two choices....one really dark and one where u can barely see the red. At first, I wanted to go with the real dark tint, but the owner said that all it was gonna do is get me a ticket cuz its illegal to have it that dark, and then he recommended to get me the lighter one, and I'm happy I did.

So I would go with the lighter one, BUT it's YOUR ride and YOUR decision.
