SOMEBODY PLEASE TELL ME WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH MY CAR
ok so , i was driving my 04 a4 down the street and turned around a corner somewhat fast but definitely wasnt like drifitng the car or anything.. but i did cut the corner a little fast.. but right after that, the car slowed down a little bit and began shaking...the MIL light came on.. the one with the lightning bolt.. i had to get the car towed from there cause it sounded kinda fucked up how it was shaking.. when we drove it up onto the tow bed.. the exhaust kinda sounded like it was sputtering.... i dunno .. its at the stealership now but i wont know whats wrong with it until monday morning... DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY IDEA WHAT THAT COULD BE?
Its called a miss-fire, you need to pull the codes and figure out which cylinder is missing, then replace the coil pack for that particular cylinder.
What is the MIL light???
You mean the Check Engine Light???
Did it sound like you got an STi with an exhaust.
If yes, i'm 99% sure some of your coilpacks are blown. They are like $40 each OEM (i think R revision) or you can get Hitachi or Beru ones. You can do the sawp yourself, search on internet for the DIY or go here a4mods.com. 2 of my coils blew sometime ago, i kind of knewm but wasnt sure. I paid like almost $300, where parts were about $80. Good Luck.

damn im such a ****** douschebag.. thanks for the info...hopefully its covered under the LIMITEd warranty.. im an idiot when it comes to fixing cars.. id prolly **** suttin up
Coilpacks will blow but don't worry.. Unless your driving your car hard ALL THE TIME or unless you just chipped your car, your coilpacks will last quite awhile. Mine lasted 5 years before I replaced themand that was only because I got the car chipped and I needed new ones to take the added load
