Have just bought an A4 Avant 1.9TDI 2004 with 84,000 KM.

I now find I have no spare tyre but an Audi plastic bottle of chemical and a mini Audi compressor. According to the dealer this now replaces a spare! Is he having me on and is this really better than a spare. Is a spare available that will fit the well at the back-

 

apparently its true but they dont give the full story behind it, its there for emergency only same as a spare wheel only difference is ( you can only drive at 50mph for 50 miles so you can have the wheel repaired ) Ive never used it but I believe its screws they tyre up and you have to fit a new one[:-]
