i have a 03 audi and my check engine light came on when i was driving one day. it went off the following day, then 2 weeks later came back on then off again. finally the other day my car started shaking, not violently but enough to get my attention. the check engine light was flashing. my friend said it could be a miss fire cuz he said after 98 audi designed it so if a miss fire occurs the comp shuts down that cylinder and the fuel supply to it. im just curious on anyone elses opinion? also wat spark plugs should i get? i just put 90,000 miles on it.

 

Is it 1.8t? Did it sound like a modded STI? Most likely one or more coilpacks gone bad?

it is a 3.0. would it be the same though on checking the coil packs?
