Default Stalled at Stoplight

Driving to work this morning my car stalled while at a complete stop at a stop light.

I checked the temperature, looked fine. No check engine light or anything that would indicate a problem.

I let the car sit for about two minutes (in the middle lane of the highway lol) and started it up again. I was able to get to work without any more problems.

So i come to you all with the question: What would cause an issue such as this?

Here are some my thoughts / other info:

- I am a little overdue for an oil change

- I do not know what has been done to the car in terms of past maintenance

- Car is around 85k miles

- New spark plugs and coil packs (although i did have this issue where a bit of oil got around the tips of the spark plugs and caused misfires. After cleaning them out car ran fine. I should also note the car is running fine now without misfires. Just a random stall.)

- I am on a budget and only use premium gas every other fill up.

- I have been suggested that maybe my gas filter could cause an issue like this.

Please, i would love to hear your opinions on what might be causing the issue

let me know your thoughts!

Your gas is causing the problem, also change your oil, don't put it off.

Thanks, i will take your advice and start filling it with more premium. Also i don't think it could hurt to change the gas filter as well.

For your fuel filter you can normally tell when is causing a problem, it starts making whinning noise, but yeah is not a bad thing to change it.
