Default Struts and mounts at 96,000 miles?

I'm hearing some clunking on the right side of my car. I think I need a new strut mount - possibly a new strut.

Isn't 95,000 miles a bit early to change struts and strut mounts for an audi? I thought these components go much later for european cars.

At what mileage have other people seen the need to replace their struts?

Mine were completely shot when I got it @ 130k miles... all the way around. I'd say close to 100k mile would be about right. Remember, these are heavy cars... besides, normal service for most cars is 60-75k miles, so ya, Audi does good
