Sunroof's mechanisum is broke
My '02 A4 Sunroof has broken parts. The switch makes the motor step back and forth. The glass was crooked in the hole and it made the motor reverse. I ended up taking the entire sunroof out. I found may small broken pieces that are from the rear glass assembly mount slides (see SR Clips picture). These parts broke and allowed the rear rods that mounts to the rear slides come off and this keeps the glass tracking correctly. This allowed the one cable to jump on the motor which made the glass travel crooked. Can I buy parts for the sunroof? Or worse case, can I buy a entire Webasto sunroof assembly? HELP!!

You should be able to. I did for my old Jetta.
Here's what I found, that's considering that your sunroof itself is not damaged and the only thing that broke is the mechanism:

frame with operating mechanism

Well, I couldn't purchase the plastic clips that were broke. I even tried to contact Wabasto who make the Sunroof. The only way I found was to purchase the entire assembly from the dealer for $765
or from a junkyard for $250. But I figured the junkyard would have the same brittle clips.
So I ordered a block of UHMW plastic on line and made the plastic clips and glued them in. It works great and the plastic cost me $12 + shipping. Took several hours but I got it done.
The red clip is the UHMW. I used JB weld to hold it in. The other picture is the original broken clip. Typical both sides.

Dan,
Thanks for your help. You were right but I didn't want to spend that much. It seems to work so far. There really isn't much force on the clips since the main drive are to the front of the glass ans the back clips just keep it in the track.
