Default Supercharged 3.0 Reliability

I am thinking about supercharing my 3 liter A4 with the PES kit and I was wondering if anyone has experience with this. I did a search and found some people who heard about it being reliable and others saying it's not. Does anyone have actual experience?

The supercharger and engine will be fine, its the common things that fail on the 3.0L's like cat converters that are the problem. If you can handle the extra expense for maintenace then you should be fine.

The maintenance will always be done and the car will have a full exhaust with high flow cat long before it sees a supercharger so that won't be a problem. Do you have person experience with the PES setup?

I've driven a B6 A4 3.0L with a PES kit on it, just haven't worked on one yet. I was supposed to install it on another members A4 but he never got back to me.

I don't remember the odometer, probably around 60k. The supercharger had been on there for like 1,000 miles or something.
Im just speaking on the behalf of how the 3.0L is built and the quality of the PES kit.

I am just hoping the stock internals can handle the added abuse because this car is my daily driver.

It can handle probably around 320 horsepower without any problems.

i hate to butt in but how much does a kit like that go for? 220hp just doesn't do it for me with a 350hp vw scirocco parked next to my a4.

$5295 is the price tag. 320HP and 267 TQ are the specs.
