Hi All,

My shocks are in bad shaped and needs to be changed. Is there anything I should look at changing as I am doing that?
In the mornings when it is cold I hear a sound from the front when I rotate the tires when I am stopped. Do you have any idea what the problem is?

And where is a good place to order oem suspension parts?

I have a 1.8T FWD with Sports Package.

 

I dont know what the problem is.
But, IMHO, aftermarket shocks will cost you about the same as oem.

 

Do you mean you hear a sound comming from the car when you turn the steering wheel to turn the wheels? If so, sounds like CV joints to me.

 

I was hearing a strange low winding/grinding noise in my 03 cabriolet. I took it to the dealer and it was the power steering pump going bad. I noticed it for a couple days and it was worst at stops on cold mornings.

 

The noise is like a door without enough lubrication at the hinge.
What is involved in the CV joint replacement? I have done this on a Mustang before but I haven't gotten my hands dirty on the Audi yet, I am just out of warranty so looks like it is time to get under the car..

I am looking at autopartswarehouse.com for a cv joint but I can't find any for my car. Does it have another name. Or does this not exist for a front wheel drive car?
