Default Thinking about trading in my 325xi for a B6

Having never owned an Audi, I'd like to get an opinion from someone with experience. I'm considering trading this in:

BMW 2003 325xi
- 45.5K
- auto
- prem pkg
- cold wthr pkg
- xenon lights
- leather
- CPO thru 8/09

for this:

A4 2005 3.0 quattro
- 48K
- tiptronic
- ultra sport pkg
- prem pkg
- CPO

The dealer wants $22K. I'm thinking of offering $4K on top of my trade-in - is this unrealistic?

Price depends on where your located? 1.8T and 3.0 is 2 differnet engines that will take you different paths. Search here and Audzine

I'm in NorCal. Not sure how I'd break it down, but maybe $17K for the trade-in and $21K for the A4. Though 17K might be a tough sell for a 5 yo bimmer... thing is I don't really have to get another car, just looks like the Audi might be a nice upgrade for a modest extra cost (putting comparable wheels/suspension alone on the 325 would probably make up most if not all of the price difference).

Probably not. With this one, I think I'd be happy leaving it stock.

Ok, i dunno about car prices in your area though... But go to cars.com or autotrader.com jut to compare different prices for the same car. I think its a bit to high though
Not to change your mind or anything, but 1.8t would be much cheaper.

Yeah, but 1.8t would be too wimpy with a tiptronic - the trade wouldn't make much sense.
