timing belt change, pittsburgh area
hi all, i have a audi a4 3.0 with 86000 miles on it. i am thinking to change my timing belt as soon as possible. have you guys in pittsburgh area done it before can recommend good stores and share the experience (costs)? thank you

rbrtech is on this board too andmany vouch for his work. He's over towards Mt. Pleasant so it's a pretty easy Turnpike drive for you.
There is a guy named Pete in the North Hills/Sewickley area who is a Porsche/Audi tech and started his own garage. He does incredible work. You can get his info from that thread above, also. There is one more guy up towards Evans City, but I don't know much about him.
As for the rest of us on that thread, we'd probably do it if enough beer were involved. It isn't a hard job, just time-consuming because the whole front has to come off.
Most of us do our own work, though, so it's hard to recommend someone when we'd just as soon do it all ourselves.

Also, if you're able to make it, clicky on link for Carlisle info. The organizer of it is also in the "Pittsburgh People" thread above and she's kind of our local social director, and track races a very fast B5 S4.
