I can't imagine the actual cost will be lower than their estimate...but, they seemed pretty confident the actual cost is typically lower than their estimate. Whatever, taking the plunge in couple of weeks; let you know what happens.

Timmay, I would think the price would be cheaper in NYC/Tri-state area, since there area alot more audi dealers and euro mechanics down there. Up here in 'Cuse, we only have one audi dealer; the next closet is in Ithaca and Rochester.
and the prices are not cheaper, probablly because i live around a bunch of older rich audi drivers, so they take all the money they can from them so thats why its expencise

Good find on edge motors. I'm going to check it out once I get my "new" car.

I just called them to make sure their prices are the same and for a 2005 A4 1.8T Q Ultra Sport, he said the price is $590 and would take about 4-5 hours to finish.

Do you know if there's anything to do in that area?

like around edge motors?

its a bit sketchy, nothing within walking distance i believe. if you have another ride palisades mall isn't to far away for a day of shopping while the audi is getting worked on.

of if its nice out go to bear mtn park. once again only if you have another ride

There are nothing to do in that area so you stuck with Sergey (the owner of Edge Motor). :P Or, you can go to a deli place (2 minute walk) to get a coffee and enjoy some reading...
