Timing belt question

I shy away from the e bay cable because sometimes features don't work right with that chinese POS and other times it doesn't work at all. I would spend the money for the correct cable.

Your already paying the price (worrying at a minimum), for not getting the right tools for the job the first time, dont make the same mistake twice. Pay now or pay later.

So if nothing shows up then I'm good, but what if something does show up. Is this something I will be able to fix myself?

If something shows up, buy the tools, take off the valve covers lock the cams in time, release tension on the belt re-set the timing and put it back together.

The Ebay cables are the biggest PITA ever! I have one and hardly ever use it just because of that. I plan on buying a ross-tech cable soon. I would definitely agree with auditech on this one. If you can, buy the right cable.
