i have a b6 automatic with a cvt tranny unfortunately, the rubber around my shift **** has gone bad and it gets all scrunched up

just recently when i go into my tiptronic it wont shift, this does not happen all the time...but it doesnt work more times then it works

my question is if you guys know what the problem may be? and how i can solve it?

i think maybe if i replace the rubber...but how do i remove it? and where can i get it?
