uh oh!
Hopefully that picture works, and to explain.... So there I was changing my valve cover gasket when i discovered a couple hoses were a bit broken and by a bit I mean really broken the top arrow hose is the bottom hose that connects down and out underneath. and the second arrow appears to be an elbow connecting into the intake. and I need to know how I can find those hoses to replace the broken ones, or an optional way
(now I'm sorry for the terrible explanation but my car knowledge is very limited, my past vehicles weren't so awesome or worth a whole lot of work so I did to them only what I needed to get by like plugs and wires and such and they also were all domestic cars but with my Audi I'm very concerned to make things fantastic. so bare with me as I make the slow climb to working on my own car and thank you again)
Hmm, I'm not familiar with the 1.8 engine so much, as I have a 3.0 and a 4.2. Maybe Paul will drop by and offer his expertise. I was going to say that they are PCV breather hoses, but I'm not so sure after looking at the pic.
jdahlen24, I believe you are correct - I recently read through a thread detailing a lot of the 1.8T's hoses on another forum, and I seem to remember those two being part of the breather system. The one at the back of the engine is actually a pretty cheap part IIRC, like $15 or so.
i councur with jdhlen and olystn. On the coolant line u can either depending on the hose go to napa and see if they can source u a heaterhose that will replace the worn one or check ecs and see about their hoses. The napa route was free but u need to make sure the hose dosent have alot of bends or that will affect pressure on the coolant lines.
