Default Up Grading My Turbo On o3' b6 1.8t

I've been thinking about up grading my turbo on my 2003 audi a4 1.8t and I was given a few ideas on what to do. First i was told to swap the head for an AEB and than grade the turbo from there because the stock head will not hold up and than I was told to swap the engine for the tt 2.7t. I also know swaping the engine can probably cost alot. I'm just looking for more power right now but nothing crazy crazy. Any ideas for me?

How much more power? An ECU upgrade alone can get you +40 HP over stock, and there are many larger than stock turbos out there that can make double stock power or more. Speed is money, how fast do you want to go?

The 2.7T swap is going to be prohibitively expensive - buying a B5 S4 in decent condition is probably cheaper, and then you'd have better brakes & suspension to start with as well.

I want like probably at least about another 80ish + more HP, like I wanna go pretty fast but I just first wanna see what I can do and how much it'll be cus I know you can do alot with these cars. You mean with an ECU upgrade by getting it flashed? Cus I was told to do that too but I figured to get something upgrade with it when I do that.

AEB head swap is only needed when looking to make more then 450whp. If your looking to make less then that just keep the small port head, it is designed to keep the air velocity up. The AEB just flow more air which is why people swap to it when making big hp.

If you are only looking for 80 more hp, the person that told you to swap to a 2.7t motor should be shot. You can get that type of power just by going with a turbo kit like the Frankenturbo or the Elim kits. The Frankenturbo will get you to around 230whp, the Elims will make around 280whp on pump gas with all the supporting mods. Those setups put you in the 300chp to 360chp range, that is about 130-190chp more then your stock car.

True true , my boys has an aeb head on his 99 a4 but he just recently lost all compression in all the cylinders. Yeah and swaping to a 2.7t is a lot of work. I'm just lookin to have some fun right now but crazy yet. Do you have any websites for those turbo kits I can look at?
