Default vag help... is this my maf?

I was driving home today and my car began to shift weird, especially from park to drive. there is a cel on the dash (not blinking) and the esp light is stuck on. I believe this is a problem with the Maf. what do you think. here are the codes I pulled.

trans elec.
18265: load signal: error message from the engine control unit

abs/esp
18265: load signal: error message from the engine control unit
00526: brake light switch-f: open circuit (sporadic)

engine elec
16486: mass air flow circuit-G70: Low input

17545: bank1 mixture adaptation (Add) system too rich

do I need to buy a new maf or is there a quick fix for this?

I just read about how the brake light switch failure causes lots of weird problems, apparently easy to change out and only costs around $8.

alright, I just looked at the brake light switch and it appears to be in working order. I cleared all the codes and that one stayed away but all the others that led me to believe that it might be the MAF have come back. It must be the Maf. any suggestions

does anyone know how much damage it would cause to drive with a bad maf?
