Default Wanted to Say Hi to everyone

Like the Title says i wanted to say hi to everyone and introduce myself, I'm hoping everyone on the forums will be willing to help a noobie out in the Audi world. I use to own a fully Modded 04 530i and currently a 04 E55 AMG, both black and now my new to me car the 02 Audi A4 1.8t quattro black 112k miles, the car is amazingly quick for a 1.8 but i do have alot of lag coming out of 1st-2nd. Wanted to ask you guys what do you think i should do in "go fast mods" but nothing too crazy this is my daily driver. also what problems should i expect.... right now i have two problems, when i first start up the car, it starts fine then it sounds like its cranking alittle more than normal, sounds like grinding... wonder if anyone can help me there and the second is the guy i bought the car from said that the heat exchanger or the heat plate is loose, and sometimes when i down shift to 2nd something under the middle of the car "sound like metal" hits the body like a plate... i hope its nothing horrible, Im going to get pictures up of my car asap for everyone Thanks! I'll also put some up of my old cars I'm looking forward to the help and wisdom of everyone here

hi pa4ul yea i came back from TKx performance, great people.. he checked my car out and told me i luckily have nothing major wrong with the car. the sound of the metal banging... your right on the money he told me my heat shield is loose and the squeaking i hear when i go over a bump is just bushing in the front that are probably dried out and the grinding in at the start i need a new starter.. but he reassured me that basically these things are more of a nuisances than major problem. I'm going to schedule a date to get my car to there to fix it and then the modding begins going to get the A-tech lip kit and probably rs4 wheels unless you can think of better ones and he told me he does a tune for $600 that adds 50hp, thats pretty good for just 600 bucks on my benz it cost me like 2g and i only get 10hp at the most(headers) lol. The only major thing that might be a problem he told me are transmission mounts, how much do you think that would cost? also thanks for replying i was beginning to think noone on this forum talks to people

i think the 034 motor mounts are recommeneded. Nice cars btw. Yea i had the ringling noise in my car for some time. Fianlly tightened those screws and the noise was gone. Prob some tech putting my car back together and got lazy. I know apr does chips for around 500 to 600 depeneding what file u want. So ur tech sounds reasonable. Anything else u need lemme know.

cool man thanks alot, i appreciate all the help and thanks for the compliment on the cars I really miss my BMW it was a real drivers car, the b6 is also fun but i think i have to tune it alittle more to give it the same feel, and the MB there all luxury even with an e55 i still cant driver like the BMWs'
its fast on the straight away but not made for the twisties and thats the type of driving i like.
