Hey team,

I was scowering Ebay for Vag-Com's & Noticed there are alot of brands out there. What brand should a guy buy that is able to do almost anything with the vehicle?

technically the ebay vagcom will only allow you to access certian umm options the true vagcom from rosstech will allow you full access. Cost bout 200 bucks. but if u get the ebay one u can do small things like clear codes open windows from the key fogs turn on when u unlock the car and so on.

Sorry i don't been to hijack the thread but as this has been answered for the original poster i would like to ask the same question but being more specific.

p.s. Where does the cable connect into?

 

cable connects near where ur pedals are. get on the floor on the drivers side. Look underneath the dash and u will see what i believe is a purple outlet. That is the port. As for the one u posted it will be able to clear codes and do some stuff but cant do all that the rosstech can do. BUt the ebay one can program rest of world coming home feature windows down with key small things like that.

 

You know of a guide somewhere where i can learn how to use the vag com feature available to me?

I am totaly new to DIY car stuff, and this is my first Audi, (also never owned a VW or Skoda before) i was a Benz man

p.s. is it legal and is it safe?

LEGAL AND SAFE the vag is just the tool that the dealership uses to check whats wrong with our cars reprogram keys and all that great stuff.
