I have a question about difference between 02-05 years... Is the sunroof different in 02 compare to 03-05 ? I mean my doesn't have that option to open at the angle. Also the shark antenna... I've seen some 3.0 models of the car with it my doesn't have that... Those might sound like a dumb questions, but I was just wondering

 

Sebat, mine's an '02 and its sunroof does the pop up at an angle thing. Perhaps your sunroof switch is just worn out? The shark antenna is just for satellite radio, and honestly I'm glad my car doesn't have it, cause I think it's ugly.

 

i thought all audis have the tilt option. Just push the **** in and it should open.

 

Agreed - this might be the issue. Sure made mine work a lot better, anyway...

 

OLSTYN//I guess that's true, 50 HP could mean a lot, but just by doing a chip mod on the 1.8t could increase the power of it by 50 HP. Sorry I guess what I really meant to say was the the 1.8t is alot more modable than the 3.0. My apologies.

LUMEND13//That's what I've been seeing on the forum, lots of people complaining about how expensive the timing belt change is for the 3.0. Apparently it's due to the complexity of the 3.0 engine and it's a lot harder to get to the TB then the 1.8t. It's all labour.

 

If you have or want to buy 3.0 just change the belt by your self since its not that hard, it just takes time... Everything that you have to know about it you can find here or just google it. I bought all the parts that I was told by people from this message board and I'm glad that I did it my self, it saved me good $1400. BTW it took me 3 days to do it, just because I didn't want to rush it, since it was my first TB replacement. It also got me a job hahaha... I'm replacing belts for my friends now

 

u can make a 1.8t as fast as a 3.0 with about 700 dollars. GEt the 1.8 flashed and new injectors. That would make them comparable. and i think u might even get better gas mileage.

 

So whats the difference with the Ultrasport? I'd love a 3.0 6-spd USP but can't really tell what the differences are besides rims really.

 

Ultrasport bumpers are different from the normal ones, wheels as you noted, and I'm not sure, but maybe a firmer suspension? (At least, that would make sense.)

 

Are all 2002-2005 AWD 3.0 6 speed ?
