window tinting
i got a quote from a guy who does window tinting on the side.
he said it would be 115 for limo tint around and lighter on the front. is that a good price? |
RE: window tinting
That's a pretty good price. Check to see if he offers warrantees (for a few years at least), see if he can give you some references to make sure it's quality work, and also make sure he is using quality film like SolarGard or SunTek. These brands won't turn purple, peel or bubble after short amounts of time. If he's legit, that's definitely a good deal.

RE: window tinting
That is a good price.I paid more than thatmany years ago on my other car.
|
RE: window tinting
thanks for the feed back.
says he uses solargard. i would have to check on the waranty |
RE: window tinting
That's a good sign right there. The fact that he uses SolarGard pretty much let's you know he's legit. As long as he doesn't use low quality material and knows what he's doing, I say go for it.

RE: window tinting
that is a really decent price, i just had my avant done for $300!
i really recommend the tinting as is really cools the car off in the hot summer months. |
RE: window tinting
Make sure he uses 3M Automotive Window Films:
http://solutions.3m.com/wps/portal/3M/en_US/WF/3MWindowFilms/ Make sure he is not using the cheap stuff, that might potentially turn purple! 3M is superior in quality, and comes with a limited lifetime warranty not to peel, bubble, blister, fade, or discolor. |
RE: window tinting
Yeah, and if that is a good tint, $115 sounds cool.

RE: window tinting
I see you're in Southern Cali. Which shop are you going to have do it? I'm in So Cal too. I got quoted $165.
|
RE: window tinting
