Default Window Tints

How hard is it to remove window tinting? Can it be done or does it leave alot of residue behind? I ask because the A4 I am looking at buying has tinting on the rear window and the small quarter windows behind the rear windows (If that makes sense). I wouldn't mind the tinting if it wasn't dark black. Here's a pic for reference.

Thanks For Your Help

taking of tint in the rear it hard. U have to becareful with the defroster. Best bet take it to a good tint shop and ask them to remove and if u want replace all same shade. Just my two cents.

If you feel comfortable doing work on your cars. Use a heat gun from the outside to warm the tint up. Start from a corner to peel the tint. The trick is to pull the tint in quick pulls, not all of it, but hopefully that makes sense.

Yeah, man taking off the tint from the back window was a breeze for me. On a hot day tape a black trash bag to the back of the window to conduct and trap heat. then simply make a point in which you can start pulling it off and it comes off no problem. Just watch out for lines going across. you cut one of those and break the connection and your in a lot of trouble. However as long as you dont get next to those with a razor blade you are golden man.

i just took mine to a tint shop, they removed the 30-35% tint off my 4 doors, quarter window (between door and back) and the back windshield and put in 10% tint in all 6 of those places for $180. looks great.
