Default '06 A4 Cab top doesn't operate

Hey all,
Not having much luck with the search function on this: I am a future owner of an A4 converable. Still looking. found one on line that looks good, on a dealer lot and called about it. The sales slime said that the top doensnt work properly and sited a hydraulic leak as the potential isuse. Didn't seem like they were planning on addressing it. I'm a handy guy and can typically trouble shoot stuff like this, but I'm honestly new to Audi's and don't have expeience with automatic ragtops. I'm wondering if this is something I should steer way clear of, or is it something I can use as a price barganing chip to get the car and then fix it in the spring (with guidence of the experince here) Any search skill info greatly appreciated as well. I did some reading that suggest that it could be low hydraulic fluid or the motor. this was a general lot and I don't thinkt they know Audi's either.
Thanks, Dayton, OH

nobody has had convertable top issues witht he B7 A4? Can anyone point me to a place where the info might be. I did a search in B7 and found a leaky rear window but that's it.

Try the Cabriolet(b6) forum at Audiworld.com
Seems like more activity in that regard.

OK thanks. Assume the B6 and B7 share near identical tops.
