I have a 06 a4 2.0t quattro s-line. When I recently lowered it, I discovered a crack in the front, left control arm spindle. I guess in the s-line they used aluminum instead of cast iron to save weight but sacrificed durability. Does anybody know of a less costly replacement part than from Audi, $414 for just the spindle? or if not, a heavier duty full control arms replacement? or any other ideas? Thanks in advance.

 

you can search local auto shops....sometimes they can search on a database of totalled cars that they get thier parts from to save money if the customer doesn;t want OEM price and they could point you in the right direction good luck

 

ya either a junk yard or check the parts thread on this forums cuz they often have ppl who are parting out their cars and you get often get parts really cheap.... or i even think ecstuning.com might even sell them
