I have a MK3 VR6 GTI that has lasted me 280,000 km's of pure abuse. I love the thing.

My question is, will the 15" winter tires an rims fit over the brakes on a 2007 Avant? The car is 3 hours away stored in the machine shed at my uncles farm, and I don't want to make a 6 hour round trip for nothing.

I also have a set of 215/55/16 winter tires kicking around, just no rims. I'd imagine the 16's would clear the calipers, just unsure about the MK3 15's.
