I barely have about a month with my 2005.5 b7 2.0t 6mt and the shifter you can hear it when changing like it's smooth but not super smooth how it should be..or at least i think so..my dad said so as well lol.

do the shifters have to be lubed or something? o:

also, i got the car and it came w tein coilovers and it's pretty low lol it started to feel a little stiff and my friends said that you need to lube coilovers every 3 months..is that true? if so, how do i go on about doing this and what products do you recommend?

I think you can lube a manual shifter. I have an auto so I will differ to others that know more than me.

Should not have to lube coilovers (that I am aware of). I have heard some use grease if they get a squeak.

thanks a lot bro! i am so glad i went for the audi lol first car my friend drives an 06 acura typese s and it's on coilovers as well but hi's is so low lol he has to snake it over any bumps! but it sure as hell looks nice low! he told me i would have to lube mine up cause he does it every 3 months else the coilovers stiffen up and if u hit a bump the people inside hit their head son roof because of the stiffness o:

i hate creating so many new threads ._. so maybe i'll ask here lol my brakes squeal when braking lightly it's so embarrasing lol rolling up in an audi and having the brakes squeal lol but they feel strong n good they don't look wasted etc...is this normal? also how can i check the thickness of the brake pads? i see ppl saying "o mine is at 8mm or 6m,m" etc o:

 

Brake squel can happen. Usually it is an indicator that the pads are starting to near replacement time (not always though).

Might also try not using "lol" in your comments so much.

 

i used motul 300 sae-75w90 for the gearbox around 80k miles
