Recently had to swurve from a stupid vehicle that almost hit going 45mph and hit a huge hole in the side of the road, noticed I was slowly losing tire pressure, after changing the tire I noticed a chopper colored metal ring that was loose inside the wheelbase, and seems a piece of it was broken off

Does anybody have a clue what this is? Hopefully I explained it well enough!
